DEPRESSION KAREN TO MERGE WITH COLD FRONT

2013-10-06_075258

RAINFALL 8AM SUNDAY THRU 8 AM TUESDAY
No longer a tropical storm, the center of Tropical Depression KAREN will cross the southeast tip of Louisiana around noon Sunday, pass south of Mobile around midnight and reach the Tallahassee area around noon Monday. It will be mostly a rain event with a few thunderstorms.

Scattered showers will begin Sunday in the Jacksonville area and become more numerous Sunday night and Monday. An approaching cold front should end most of the rain by Tuesday morning. Rain totals in northeast Florida are forecast to be .50 to 1.00 inches. West of Baker county and much of Georgia may expect between one and 2 inches of rain thru Monday night.

Area winds will be 30 mph or less, except in any thundershower connected with the Depression Monday or the cold front Monday night.
