GULF OF MEXICO SYNOPTIC MAP

The Gulf system is poorly organized and is drifting towards the upper Mexican coast. The low pressure has degenerated into the trough that extends from the Bay of Campeche to the front near the mouth pf the Mississippi River. The chance of redevelopment had dropped to only 10%. Heaviest rainfall totals are forecast to be along the northern Gulf coast from Pensacola to Texas. Elsewhere over the tropical waters Depression Erin has dissipated and there are no tropical disturbances in the foreseeable future. 2013-08-17_165059
