The rainfall map was updated Wednesday morning.
The Quantitative Precipitation Forecast of NOAA’S Weather Prediction Center shows this week’s greatest rainfall to occur between 8 AM Wednesday and 8 AM Saturday. The combination of daily showers and a stalled front across Georgia Thursday and Friday are bad news for flood-prone areas of south Georgia and much of Florida.

As the low pressure in the Gulf moves into the Florida panhandle, heaviest rainfall will be east ot the storm center. Conditions are moderate (50%) for the Gulf low to develop into the season’s first subtropical or tropical storm. Stay tuned for updates.
