FLORIDA LOWS TO WEAKEN OUR NOR’EASTER!

2013-05-03_152108
The Gulf low pressure that strengthened our nor’easter and enhanced the flow of tropical rains to our area Thursday and Thursday night will weaken and merge with the low pressure in the Mississippi Valley which will move slowly into northern Georgia over the weekend. As the associated cold moves into the Florida panhandle Saturday, our nor’easter will end and cause a decrease in our clouds and rain showers Saturday and Sunday. Drier air and gusty westerly winds will set the stage for a beautiful week ahead!

Here are Friday morning’s rainfall totals, courtesy of the Jacksonville National Weather Service:
8.29 St. Augustine
5.10 Palm Coast
4.74 Beauclerc
4.11 NAS Jax
4.10 Starke
3.70 Craig Field
3.10 Crescent City
2.63 Woodbine
