A SOGGY TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT

Big changes for Florida and the eastern seaboard beginning Tuesday.

After a delightful spell of weather over the weekend, approaching fronts and an abundant buildup of tropical moisture over the northwest Caribbean mean disruptive weather will follow Monday’s balmy dry day. At 2PM Monday the National Hurricane says there’s a 40% chance of a tropical cyclone developing within 48 hours from the disturbance near Cancun and the Yucatan peninsula.
The rainfall forecast for Tuesday afternoon and evening shows amounts approaching 2 inches for parts of our area with amounts approaching 5 inches with deep tropical moisture around southern Florida. A deepening dip in the polar jet stream will cut off the rain rapidly Wednesday morning to be followed by a cold snap that will keep our temperature from barely reaching 70 degrees Thursday and Friday.
