TROPICAL DEPRESSION #6 SOON TO BE “FRANKLIN”

Over the western Atlantic Ocean tropical storm chances are increasing.

Tropical Depression #6 formed Friday afternoon 260 miles north of Bermuda. It is forecast to become tropical storm FRANKLIN overnight. It is no threat to land as it is imbedded in the westerly wind currents. At 5 PM Friday it was moving east northeast at 16 mph.

Another area is low pressure 1,000 miles east of the Leeward Islands is no immediate threat to land through the weekend.
