HEADING TOWARDS PEAK MONTHS FOR HURRICANES

The Atlantic waters are hurricane-free now. Next month this time they will probably look different!

We’re one month away from the part of the hurricane season that has had the most hurricanes over the years in the Atlantic Basin.

There have been five tropcal storms so far. The next candidate, located about 650 miles west of the southern Cape Verde Islands, is moving west northwest around 15 mph with a 40% chance of becoming a tropical storm within 48 hours. Franklin is the name on the 2011 Tropical Storm/Hurricane list for the next storm.
