OH NO! A HURRICANE STRIKE FOR HAITI?

Hurricane TOMAS is forecast to turn northward Wednesday towards Hispaniola

The polar jet stream will be dipping into Georgia by Saturday to bring the coldest weather this fall to our area. The shift in upper winds will turn hurricane TOMAS northward in the central Caribbean with computer models and the National Hurricane Center projecting the storm to hit in the vicinity of Haiti on Friday.

This will be of grave concern to the residents of Haiti, especially in the wake this year’s worst earthquake in 200 years back on January 12. The midterm elections, the potential of havoc for parts of Hispaniola, and the cold snap here for the weekend will keep most of us focused on breaking news all week long.
