STORMS STAY AWAY LEAVING US HIGH AND DRY

Hurricane IGOR passed us 900-1,000 miles to the east on Sunday.

High Surf Advisories will continue along our coast through Monday. Waves averaged 6 to 9 feet on Sunday as large swells emanated hundreds of miles in all directions from hurricane IGOR, which passed just west of Bermuda on a track towards the north northeast.

The clouds over the western Gulf have some instability due to upper level outflowing winds. Showers will probably continue in that region most of this week, while our area will continue mostly sunny and dry all week long.
