HERMINE MOVES INTO SOUTH TEXAS

As Hermine weakens over Texas, tropics are relatively quiet.

Hermine moved inland this (Tuesday) morning with peak wind gusts to 72 mph. Locally heavy rains will spread across Texas into Oklahoma today and early Wednesday.

Over the Caribbean, the upper levels of the atmosphere are not very favorable for shower enhancement; therefore, the remnants of Gaston moving towards Puerto Rico have only a slight (20%) chance of returning to tropical storm status.
