FORECAST TRACK UPDATE

Next week's track uncertainties forced seaward by latest westerlies forecast.

At the surface, high pressure will protect the U.S. east coast from hurricane Danielle, but it’s clockwise circulation will increase northeast winds along our coast this weekend. Although Danielle will pass a little over 1,000 miles from our beaches, ocean swells will be a “surfer’s delight”, but will cause rough surf and rip currents from Cape Hatteras to Miami. We can expect passing showers with gusty winds along our coast Saturday and Sunday.
