WATCHING TROPICAL RAINS IN THE CARIBBEAN

Tropical waves are moving westward across the Caribbean Sea

The cluster of showers near the mid-Caribbean tropical wave is under some strong upper level divergence. This is causing some intense rains south of Jamaica which are heading towards Nicaragua. Tropical storm development will be unlikely because of shearing upper level winds and the movement across central America this weekend.

The tropical wave near the Windward Islands will be moving close to the coast of South America with only a 10 percent chance of becoming a tropical storm
