The Bahama tropical depression became tropical storm BONNIE at 6:15 PM.
Tropical storm warnings are in effect from Golden Beach (between Hollywood and North Miami) southward through the Florida Keys and northward on the Gulf coast to Bonita Beach. This storm will have little effect on northeast Florida except causing our easterly seabreezes to become more moist with a few showers Friday. Winds in the afternoon may gust to 25 or 30 mph.
The storm willl be in the Gulf of Mexico in the vicinity of the oil spill over the weekend.
