WATCHING THREE AREAS

The western Caribbean has the greatest chance of storm development.


The strong convection just east of the west Caribbean tropical wave has a 50% chance of developing into a tropical storm through Tuesday. It is moving west northwest around 15 mph toward the Yucatan peninsula.

The weak low 125 miles south of the central Louisiana coast is expected to move north across the coast by Monday night. It has a 20% chance of becoming a tropical storm before moving inland,

The disturbed weather over the Lesser Antilles is moving west northwest at 10 to 15 mph. It has a 20% chance of becoming a tropical storm in 48 hours.
