NOR’EASTER HITS MID-ATLANTIC COAST

2009-11-11_230534A chilly day under mostly cloudy skies here Thursday as the remains of IDA intensifies as a frontal low on the Carolina coast. The pressure gradient between the low and a high pressure over the Great Lakes will cause gale force winds and beach erosion on mid-Atlantic beaches.
As the low moves farther north and east on Friday, high pressure over the southern plains will arrive in our area to give us a fabulous weekend.
The weak low pressure south of Bermuda will move northward with strong upper level wind shear keeping it from intensifying before merging with the front.
