IDA RETURNING TO HURRICANE STRENGTH

2xat_viIDA is gaining strength over warm open waters of the western Caribbean east of the Yucatan peninsula.
The hurricane may brush dangerously close to the Cancun area as it continues on a track that will take it into the central Gulf of Mexico Monday.
Cooler waters over the northern Gulf combined with a cold front approaching from the north will cause to storm to slow down, weaken, and turn northeast to east and southeast by midweek.
We will continue to monitor IDA to determine how close it may come to landfall, if any.
