NON-TROPICAL LOW MOVES FARTHER AWAY

2009-11-02_091407As an ocean storm, the non-tropical low may intensify as it gradually turns northeast over the north Atlantic shipping lanes. As long as it is on the warm side of the cold fronts, there’s always a chance it may briefly turn into a tropical storm.
Our cold front has stalled downstate. Clouds have lingered over northeast Florida as El Nino upper winds stream moisture from the Gulf of Mexico. This has kept us from getting the clear skies that usually arrive following cold fronts. High pressure centered over the mid-Mississippi Valley will continue to feed us cool weather all week long.
